The Eames for Herman Miller 1970's ‘Aluminum Lounge Group Chair'

$3,000.00

The 'Eames ‘Aluminum Lounge Chair ’ A name you have heard whispered in hushed tones around the office since 1958. This sleak piece of weaponry designed by Charles and Ray Eames has and always will be, timeless. Here we have three originals, stamped and dating from between 1960 and 1978.
In the first generations of these, the seats were made from Naugahyde, a material similar to vinyl. In the 60's they started to manufacture them with leather. Leather being a more valuable and desirable finish meant that later chairs like these can often be more valuable than the early ones.
The aluminium has been polished and the leather has been cleaned and conditioned.
